Verify your email sending domain
Add the DNS records shown by Protodesk and confirm that replies can be sent from your support domain.
Updated
Domain verification authorizes Protodesk to send replies from your customer service address. It protects your domain identity and improves the chance that customer replies reach the inbox instead of spam.
You need workspace admin access and permission to edit DNS records for the domain after the @ in your support address.
Add the DNS records
- Open Settings → Email.
- Find Sending emails (DNS verification).
- Open your DNS provider in another tab.
- Create every record shown by Protodesk using the displayed Type, Name, and Value.
- Save the records at your DNS provider.
Some DNS providers want only the relative host name; others want the full hostname. Protodesk shows the relative name and, when useful, the full hostname. Do not add your root domain a second time if your provider appends it automatically.
Check verification
Protodesk checks pending records automatically every 15 seconds while the page is open. You can also select Check now after saving your DNS changes.
DNS changes often appear within minutes, but they can take longer to propagate. In rare cases, allow up to 48 hours before treating the delay as a configuration problem.
When all required records are available, the section shows DNS verified. Email cannot be enabled until the support address is set, inbound forwarding is confirmed, and DNS is verified.

- Compare every character of the name and value with the values in Protodesk.
- Remove quotation marks unless your DNS provider adds them automatically.
- Check whether the provider appended the domain twice.
- Confirm that you edited the DNS zone for the same domain used by the customer service address.
- If you use a DNS proxy, make sure mail authentication records are published as DNS records rather than proxied web traffic.
After verification succeeds, enable email and send a test from Protodesk before replying to a customer.
