Invite and manage teammates
Invite people to your workspace, choose the right role, and manage access as your support team changes.
Updated
Workspace admins can invite teammates and choose how much access each person receives.
Invite a teammate
- Open Settings.
- Select Members.
- Select Invite a member.
- Enter the teammate's email address.
- Choose a role.
- Select Send invite.
The invited person remains pending until they accept the invitation and sign in.
Choose the right role
- Agent can reply to and assign customer conversations.
- Admin can manage workspace settings in addition to support work.
- Viewer has read-only access.
Use the least-privileged role that allows the person to do their job. Reserve Admin access for teammates who actually manage workspace configuration, integrations, billing, or access.
Review and change access
Open a member from Settings → Members to review their role, availability, and assigned work. When responsibilities change, update access promptly.
Before removing a teammate:
- Reassign their active conversations.
- Transfer ownership of any operational setup they maintain.
- Confirm that another admin will remain in the workspace.
- Remove the member only after those checks are complete.
Removing access should not be used as a substitute for reassigning open customer work. Review pending invitations periodically and cancel invitations that are no longer expected to be accepted.
